Ajax must go higher to convince Graham Potter about taking charge.

The former Chelsea manager has twice held talks with Ajax about succeeding caretaker coach John van't Schip at the end of the season.

AD says Potter is far from satisfied with the salary package that he has been offered, and therefore he has chosen to turn down the club's first offer.

However, he can expect a new and improved offer to be tabled by Ajax.

Potter also rejected Ajax earlier this month, but now the chance is greater that he will say yes.
