Ajax are monitoring Erik ten Hag's situation at Manchester United.

It's been claimed Ten Hag is on shaky ground with new United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe unconvinced by the Dutchman.

The Independent says watching developments is former club Ajax.

The Dutch giants are in crisis and will seek a new coaching appointment at the end of the season. Johnny van 't Schip has been hired as a caretaker to June.

Ajax would welcome talks with Ten Hag about a return, having lost their title winning coach to United two years ago. The United manager has a year to run on his current deal.
