Al-Hilal star Neymar says he and Leo Messi lived through "hell" at PSG.
Like Neymar, Messi left PSG this summer for Inter Miami.
Neymar told Globo Esporte: “I was very happy for the year he had, but at the same time very sad, because he lived both sides of the coin. He reached heaven with the Argentina team, won everything in recent years, and with PSG he lived through hell. We lived through hell, both he and I.
“Messi left [PSG] in a way that, footballingly, he didn't deserve. For everything he is, everything he does, anyone who knows him knows, he is a guy who trains, who fights, if he loses he gets angry and he was unfairly accused, in my opinion. He made me very happy that he won the World Cup. Like you said, the football was fair this time. Messi deserved to end his career like this."
Meanwhile, asked if he sees Real Madrid players Vinícius Jr and Rodrygo as Brazil's future leaders, the Al Hilal forward continued: “I see it. Vini and Rodrygo are two players with a lot of quality, two stars who will surely assume this role.
"In my opinion, they already are, because they already have that name, regardless of whether I'm there or not. I have never been a selfish guy, quite the opposite, the more protagonists you have on your team, the better your team will be. I am happy that they are reaching this level, that they are already at this level and are helping the Brazilian team, which is very important.
"They are two boys that I really like. Vini and Rodrygo are two friends, I talk a lot with both of them. I hope I can help."
