Al-Nassr and former Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has no doubts about the future of the Saudi Pro League.

Ronaldo says the SPL will soon be regarded among the best competitions in the world.

He said at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai: “I'm very happy at Al Nassr, it's a big step. Saudi Arabia is in a process, it will take a long time... but step by step they will reach the highest level.

"I think the Saudi Pro League will be among the top three leagues in the world. The people in Arabia will be proud.

“The Saudi League is not worse than Ligue 1. The Saudi Pro League is more competitive than Ligue 1, I can say that after a year there. We are already better than the French league.
