Al-Nassr defender Aymeric Laporte has explained leaving Manchester City.
Laporte left City last summer for the Saudis.
He told AS: "I think it is as a result of the injuries I suffered when the club began to sign other centre-backs. When you make those hires, which were also for a lot of money, you cannot save a place for a footballer who has given you a lot of physical problems or injuries.
"The club saw it this way and preferred to bet on others. Obviously, if I hadn't had these physical problems, everything would have been different. Manchester City gave me victories, trophies. That's something big for a footballer. Surely there have been things that I could have done much better and it is a shame about the injuries, which have occurred too often and have affected my career.
"I am where I am, and it hasn't turned out that bad. But yes, it would have been nicer not to have had these injuries because there would be different things."
