Argentina president Javier Milei has revealed Manchester City want to buy a "big" local club.
Milei has opened up the laws so foreign investment in Argentine football can be made and announced in December talks with Chelsea about their interest in the likes of Boca Juniors and Racing Club.
Yesterday, Milei revealed at Expoagro: “At this moment we have Manchester City's intention to buy one of the big clubs in Argentina.
"These are monumental investments and yet everything is at a standstill. Because, in addition, the clubs that are quasi-always but are, let's say, nervous.
"They are all afraid that the referee will later change matters and rule against them.
"It is a whole system of tremendous corruption..."
