Premier League giants Arsenal are pushing to secure the future of a young talent from the academy.
Per Fabrizio Romano, the Gunners are in talks with Chido Obi-Martin's representatives.
The 16-year-old, who has scored 29 goals in 17 games for the Under-18s, will stay at the club.
The Gunners do not want to take any chances with Obi-Martin, who will be wanted by other clubs.
The teenager may soon be fast tracked into the first team to give him the senior game time he craves.
But the first step will be to assess him at Under-21 level, while slowly integrating him into first team training.
