Schalke chief Horst Heldt has reaffirmed plans to sign a new goalkeeper.
Arsenal keeper Lukasz Fabianski is on the radar for Heldt, with the Pole free to commit to a pre-contract with any foreign club.
"The fact is that we will make a change in goal for the new season, because Timo Hildebrand will go and Lars Unnerstall, who is currently happy in Aarau, will also change.
"We will have to look at how we occupy these posts again with three goalkeepers," said Heldt.
