Aston Villa are eyeing Lille striker Jonathan David.

TMW says the Canada international will leave the French club at the end of this season and in Italy he is especially admired by Napoli and Milan. At the moment, however, a transfer to England is more likely.

Above all, Aston Villa is on David's trail. Villa are close to qualifying for the next Champions League and are eyeing the Canadian.

Manchester United have also made enquiries in recent weeks.

David, who has scored 24 goals in the current season, is seeking around €5 net per year. The cost of his transfer will be around €35m.
