Atletico Madrid defender Stefan Savic has signed a new deal.

His 12 month option was activated upon reaching appearance number 20 of 45 minutes.

Savic told Radio Marca: "Yes, it's true, there was that clause for the renewal. We'll see: I'm calm, however, I never thought too much about that or to the future, I've been here for many years (next season will make it a decade) and the most important thing is that it's peaceful and that I feel comfortable in it.

"I just want to focus on the end of the season and then whatever will be, will be.

"Savic has never been a problem for anyone and never will be, we still haven't talked about anything with the club."
