Barcelona coach Xavi happy with victory over Valencia but 'if fans don't want me I'll leave'

Barcelona coach Xavi was happy with their 4-2 win against Valencia.

Robert Lewandowski struck a hat-trick for Monday night's win.

Xavi said: "Positive. The game was controlled, but with two mistakes it was complicated for us. Then, with a set piece we won. We lacked calm, tranquility. Even so, I am happy and satisfied because we have come back.

"They have hurt us with four or five plays. We have to improve that pause and calmness.

Xavi also said: "In the month of January I believed that I was responsible for the bad results and I wanted to step aside. In the following months things changed. Barça is a roller coaster. This happens to us culés, one day everything goes for us well and the next we destroy everything.

"My decision was also for the players to give something more. That's how it was. The players could have given more and they did. The games against Madrid took their toll on us.

"I feel like I have to continue. If they think not, I'll leave, but I'm just another culé and if that's the case I'll come here to watch Barça with my children."

On Lewandowski, he added: "I won't talk about future things. I'm happy, he's the scorer, an example of how I work. He has desire, courage... that's why he scores the hat-trick. I'm very happy for him."
