However, the ex-Ballon d'Or winner committed to playing for Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad.

The Frenchman's agent Karim Djaziri outlined the striker's commitment to honoring his contract with the Saudi club.

Instead, Chelsea may turn to ex-Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino.

Playing for Al-Ahli, Firmino has not started a game since October and wants to move.
