Borussia Dortmund captain Emre Can has hit out at his critics after reaching the Champions League final.
Can admits he felt greater respect with Liverpool.
He said after the semifinal win against PSG: "Abroad I have a completely different status, especially in England. I don't know why, maybe they respect more my results or they appreciate me more as a player. Germany have always been criticized more.
"There are a lot of people who always talk and say that I'm not that good. Now they have to shut up and watch me play in the final. We are a great team and the games we played were incredible.
"We didn't concede a single goal against PSG , it means that we have put a lot of quality into it. I am proud to be the captain of this team. I am very excited and proud at the same time, because it is the result of hard work. We are in the final and now we hope to win it."
