Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino admits AFC Wimbledon made it "tough" as they won their Carabao Cup clash 2-1 on Wednesday night.
The Blues won 2-1 after coming back from a goal down at Stamford Bridge. James Tilley had the visitors ahead via the spot before Noni Madueke won and converted his own penalty ahead of Enzo Fernandez's winner.
Pochettino later said: "It was tough, that is the beauty of the competition. It was tough, I think in the circumstance we have with the squad at the moment, the players that were involved today, I am happy with players who made their debut here and the start from the first time, many positive things.
"But, of course, we have a squad and players who were resting and on the bench in case they were needed, people who were fresh and come to the game and to help the team to achieve what we want.
"That is the beauty of the competition for any club when a Premier League team plays a team like this, League Two with the motivation and the desire. Sometimes, it wasn't penalty for me or it was offside, that is the beauty of the competition."
