Chelsea defender Thiago Silva will join Fluminense for the last chapter of his career.
The decorated Brazilian centre half, who is now 39, wants to play in his homeland before he retires.
Per The Standard, Silva did have a chance to stay at Chelsea for another season.
However, he decided that it is the right moment for him to end his European adventure.
Silva won Chelsea's Player of the Year at the end of the 2022/23 and managed 150 games for the club.
He signed late in his career as a free agent from Paris Saint-Germain, but showed his class throughout.
