Liverpool can build upon their victory over Tottenham in the Premier League last weekend, according to Harvey Elliott.

The Reds got back to their best with a 4-2 success over the top four hopefuls.

While they are secure in third and too far behind the top two, Elliott knows they must finish the season strong.

On the win, he stated: “Yeah, absolutely [pleasing]. We came here for redemption really, especially [with] what happened in the away game. I think we had a point to prove in this game after recent weeks as well and we did that definitely.

“As I said, we came here with a plan and we had to come here to turn things around, especially at Anfield. The home crowd were behind us from the first minute and the boys showed that. To score as many goals as we did and create opportunities for us to score even more was great and to get the win is even better."

On ending the season on a high note, he finished: “It's not what we [only] wanted to achieve, recent weeks haven't been good enough and we wanted to achieve a lot more. But with the crowd behind us and the last two games, we want to go out with a bang.

“We just want to win both of them. We have Champions League football next season – it's where this club belongs and deserves to be. There are going to be more special nights and hopefully we can put it right next season again."
