Former Liverpool sporting director Julian Ward could be heading to Saudi Arabia.

Ward has become the latest person with a link to Liverpool who is targeted by the Saudi Pro League.

Per The Mail, Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad are hoping to secure Ward as their sporting chief.

The Saudis are also targeting Mohamed Salah, after signing Jordan Henderson and Fabinho in the summer.

The Reds would loathe to lose Salah, especially in the middle of the Premier League and Champions League seasons.

However, the allure of the Middle East and a massive pay rise may be hard for any player to turn down.
