QPR boss Gareth Ainsworth admits he's delighted seeing Luton Town in the Premier League.

Ainsworth says he's "proud" of the Hatters as both they and his former club Wycombe Wanderers came up through the divisions together in recent years.

"We reached the championship and then were relegated, but to have come up with Luton and see their story unfold...

"Wycombe and Luton, I think have been very very close maybe Coventry as well, those three teams really came through the leagues together. I am really proud and I hope they survive because it gives hope for these less well-known clubs. They have a brilliant history but people have probably forgotten about them over the last 10 or 20 years because of where they've been.

"I think that coming back I'd love them to survive because it gives hope to any club that wants to get in the Premier League."
