Luciano Guaycochea has hinted cousin Alexis Mac Allister is close to joining Liverpool.

The Brighton attacker's father and agent Carlos is in England this weekend to discuss terms with interested clubs.

Liverpool are favourites and Guaycochea, who plays for Perak in Malaysia, was asked by local TV about his cousin moving to Anfield.

Asked to tell the Brighton No.10 to join Liverpool, Guaycochea responded: "I cannot say where he is going to play, but I think everyone knows it's close to Liverpool.

"It is a big team. Everywhere he goes, I hope he can play good."
