The father of Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi is proud of his son after winning the Scudetto.

Giancarlo Inzaghi admits he was angry about how many wrote off Simone.

He told La Repubblica: “Yes, I'm the proudest father in the world but only because I have two splendid son.

“I'm happy with their kind nature more than anything else, and the way they love one another. This is more important than the 360 goals or the scudetto."

“Simone told me that he's only just beginning to realize the size of his achievement. I gave him a kiss and congratulated him. Then Filippo embraced him and said well done. This is how we are."

He added, “When they wrote that he wasn't worthy of Inter. I got angry but Simone asked me to stay calm.

“However, he also once told me that he kept it all and won't forget about it. When the time comes, he'll say what he has to stay. Not now. Now we just have to celebrate."
