Former Manchester United ace Paul Pogba was duped into taking the banned substance which got him banned.

Juventus midfielder Pogba is serving a four-year suspension from the game as a result of a positive drugs test.

His legal team insist he accidentally took the substance, DHEA, which has caused the issue.

“[I am] in no doubt about Paul's sincerity and I think he may have been somewhat tricked too," stated a former international team-mate Rio Mavuba to Telefoot.

His Juve and France teammate Adrien Rabiot added: “We're talking to Paul. He's trying to keep his head up even when everything is falling on him.

“I hope he will come out of this as best he can because having all of this to deal with at once is a lot."
