Manchester City have made a decision on new signing Claudio Echeverri.

The teenage midfielder was signed by City in January and will move to Europe at the end of the year from River Plate.

Radio Continental says Echeverri will be loaned to Girona in January.

Girona, like Manchester City, are part of the City Football Group - and this would not be the first transfer between the clubs.

Yan Couto is also currently on loan from Manchester City to Girona, and last summer Yangel Herrera was bought off by the Spanish club after a one-year loan.

According to the Argentine radio channel, it is already all but confirmed that Girona will loan the offensive midfielder after the turn of the year. Echeverri has a deal with City to 2028.
