Granada coach Jose Roman Sandoval was proud of his players in defeat to Valencia.
Andre Almeida struck for the 1-0 win for visiting Valencia.
Sandoval said: "Everyone has seen it, we must value the players' efforts, we have been superior in everything except the scoreboard. We have been intense, we have frightened Valencia and we have been brave, but when the situation is like this it's what usually happens, they knock you down with a little bit
"This makes me a little less sad, the team really wanted to win for its fans and pride. We have competed very well, but it hasn't given us much more. We have the pride of being able to compete, regardless of the glass jaw that breaks with any blow.
"It's a feeling of sadness and frustration, if the team fights like this we will give some joy to the fans, which is the only thing we are looking for now. We have to compete with dignity and I am not going to let anyone give up, we have to continue with the same intensity."
