Jordan Henderson was happy with his debut for Ajax in yesterday's 1-1 draw with PSV.
The former Liverpool captain played a full 90 on the day.
It was a good match," Henderson told ESPN. “The atmosphere was great and there were two teams that wanted to win. It was a special day for me and my family. It was very special to play in this stadium. It's a great stadium.
“I was a bit nervous before the match, but it was more of a healthy tension: wanting to play. I haven't played such a big match in a while. It was a great feeling and the team is great.
“What else can we expect from me? I always give 100 percent for the team, for the club. And what can't you expect from me? Well, I'm not going to score every week," the midfielder laughed.
“I can certainly do things better, but it was an honor and privilege to be on the field. I feel fit and have completed ninety minutes, so I'm happy with that. Unfortunately we couldn't score the winning goal."
