Inter Miami coach Tata Martino says Lionel Messi appears "more relaxed" after joining the MLS franchise.
Martino worked with the World Cup winner as Barcelona and Argentina coach.
He said, "They are nice chapters, but they are all different
"I see he has the same desire as always, but he's reached another stage and is much more at ease with everything that has happened with the Argentina national team in recent years.
"He had a very heavy weight on his shoulders, and taking it off has transformed him on a day-to-day basis."
Asked about Messi's debut, Martino was non-committal.
"I'm not ruling out Leo's debut, but I have to see him in one more training session," Martino indicated. "I also have to see how he and Busquets feel.
"They both arrived in good shape, and there can be the expectation of seeing them on Friday, but I don't want to rush into saying something I can't deliver."
