Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi was happy with their comfortable 4-0 win against Lecce on Sunday.
Lautaro Martinez scored twice on the day.
“Lautaro is having a remarkable journey, it reminds me of the growth I saw in Ciro Immobile with me at Lazio," Inzaghi told DAZN.
“Only time will tell, he just needs to continue like this. I had the doubt tonight to start him or Marko Arnautovic, but after the match with Atletico Madrid, Arnautovic had a few issues and a bit of a temperature too, so I decided to go with Lauti.
“I did not need these performances to reassure me, I already knew these strikers could make their presence felt."
He continued: “Of course we can still improve and there are many months to go before the end of the season. It is right to be pleased with the current form, but we mustn't get distracted by the statistics. We must always try to improve ourselves, for example the Blin chance for Lecce.
“Atalanta are coming up on Wednesday and there will be many games to play, so we need everyone, as we saw today. There is a very long way to go this season and we must remain concentrated, even when we are asleep.
“There is a lot of work behind these results and fortunately I have a staff who know me so well, while the club supports us. Seeing the team play this well is the greatest satisfaction."
