Lecce coach Luca Gotti was delighted after their 0-0 draw with Roma.
Gotti was proud of his players after holding Roma's attack on Easter Monday.
He later said: “The credit for the performance goes to the boys, just as the blame for not scoring is always theirs and I can't blame them. The team must be brought into this psycho-physical condition until May 26th.
“I wanted to give a signal to the team to try to win. I expected Roma to be able to raise the technical figure with the substitutions, I didn't want to give the team the signal to hole up in the penalty area. Roma had to have doubts, if they wanted to attack us they had to cover the open field against players who knew how to exploit it."
“The idea was to try to have more dangerous players on the pitch, Krstovic and Piccoli are pure attackers but they both work. We created many opportunities."
As they move away from the dropzone, Gotti said: “Nothing changes, there are many games to play, it's a mistake to just look at the table, we have to look at the team, look for the conditions to score more points.
"I don't look back, we won four points without conceding a goal, we hold onto these aspects."
