Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists he hasn't run out of energy at this stage of the season.

Liverpool's season has fallen away since Klopp announced he will leave at the end of the campaign.

The German said: 'Our game has not been the best in recent weeks and as a result I hear people say I look tired. I'm just old! But I give myself 100 percent until the last day.

"I am sure that if I had not made the decision now, it would have been difficult next year. The thought of picking himself up for another pre-season and having to make big decisions.

"If you want to do it, you also have to be full of energy. 80 percent is just not enough. It's the truth. It's just too much. It is a job that requires time around the clock. There are more important things in life, but if you really get down to business, it's 24/7.

"That was it for me for a long period of time, and I knew I couldn't continue like this."
