Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has posted a farewell message to former Egypt coach Rui Vitoria.

Vitoria has left the post after Egypt's elimination from the African Cup of Nations.

With Salah back in England nursing a hamstring injury, Egypt were eliminated in the last 16 after losing to DR Congo on penalties.

Vitoria had been in charge since July 2022.

Salah posted to social media: “Thanks for everything, coach. I wish you the best in the future."
