Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag says he was impressed by Jadon Sancho last night.

Sancho impressed for loan club Borussia Dortmund in their Champions League semifinal first-leg win against PSG.

Sancho and Ten Hag remain at odds, but the manager said today: "So let's say this: yesterday he played very good and he's a very good player.

"Yesterday he showed why Manchester United bought him and he showed he represents a high value for Manchester United, which is good.

"I'm happy for Jadon, for the performance yesterday, and we'll see what is going to happen in the future."

Ten Hag also said on newly-appointed technical director Jason Wilcox: "We talk every day now, from last week. In a very short period we have to build an intense relationship.

"We are working now to a plan. We had a plan already before he stepped in and, of course, we have to get aligned. It takes time but we don't have so much time."
