Nicolo Fagioli says he always felt the support of Juventus amid his gambling addiction being exposed.
The midfielder is still serving his ban for betting on Serie A games.
He told students yesterday: "I regretted what I did. Juve were very close to me. Everyone: the club, the coach and my teammates.
"How did they take it? Well, obviously they weren't happy. But they helped me on my journey. The club knows that I have understood my mistake. We all have to learn and start again."
Fagioli did not want to reveal how much money he gambled and lost, but said he had bet as much as 5,000 euros in one go, losing the bet miserably: "I earn well and I bet a lot. But who takes 1,200 euros a month and gambles 1,000 has the same addiction as me."
