Arsenal made it three wins in a row with a 3-0 victory over AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
Mikel Arteta rung the changes from his side that beat Burnley at Turf Moor last weekend, with Alexandre Lacazette making his first start since April.
The Frenchman scored an early penalty after Gabriel Martinelli was fouled in the box by Nesta Guinness-Walker.
Lacazette then turn provider by setting up Emile Smith Rowe for Arsenal's second.
Eddie Nketiah took the most of a rare start by sealing the victory with a delightful backheel.
Arteta will be encouraged by the performance as his side head into Sunday's north London derby against Tottenham.
The Gunners have also drawn a home clash against Leeds for the fourth-round of the competition.
