PSG coach Luis Enrique explained hooking Kylian Mbappe on the hour mark in yesterday's clash with Rennes.

Mbappe was taken off on the hour mark and replaced by Goncalo Ramos. It was Ramos who would score the equaliser via a penalty deep into injury-time.

Asked about his decision on Mbappe, Enrique said: "Sooner or later, at some point, we have to learn to play without Mbappé."

Indeed, with his move to Real Madrid now an open secret, Mbappe has been used more and more sparingly by Enrique.

Mbappe has only played a full game against Real Sociedad in the Champions League, did not play against Lille and entered for half an hour against Nantes.
