PSG coach Luis Enrique hailed Kylian Mbappe and hit out at the press after they defeated Real Sociedad last night.
Mbappe struck twice as PSG won 2-1 in San Sebastian to reach the Champions League quarterfinal 4-1 on aggregate.
Asked if Mbappe is the best player in the world, Enrique said: "Do you think that Mbappé has to prove that at 25 years old? He scores 50 goals and 25 assists with any coach.
"For me he is the best player in the world in the final third, unstoppable. Today he also played a little bit when the game situation required him to hold the ball and attack the depth. But this is collective."
On reports of a rift between the pair, Enrique also said: "Obviously, but you know that what sells is to throw s*** and cause trouble. The truth? Who cares about the truth? I don't have any problem with any player."
Enrique also said: "Kylian doesn't need me to manage him, he manages himself. Today perhaps he was more fixed on the left wing than he usually is, because the team was interested in him and because we wanted leave him free in the final third, where he is lethal."
