PSV Eindhoven chief Marcel Brands says they plan to keep hold of on-loan Barcelona fullback Sergino Dest.

Brands confirms that negotiations to buy the fullback are underway.

"We were in negotiations with him and the agent last week," he told Studio Voetbal.

Brands further says that he is keen to sign the 23-year-old USA international in a permanent transfer.

"We have to wait and see what happens, but we believe in Sergino and I think he will be healthy again soon. We would very much like to keep him," he added.

Dest's buyout clause is set at €10m.
