Steven Gerrard has agreed a new contract with Al-Ettifaq.
The Liverpool legend made the move to Al-Ettifaq last summer. He signed a two-year contract.
However, Gerrard has endured a difficult start in Saudi Arabia. Al-Ettifaq have not won in eight games in the league.
The team is in eighth place in the league, with 25 points after 19 rounds.
There have been rumours of Gerrard at risk of being sacked. But now The Athletic says Gerrard will instead sign a new contract.
Gerrard and Al-Ettifaq have reached an agreement to extend by two years, until the summer of 2027.
