Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki has rejected Manchester United this summer.
The 20-year-old has decided to sign for Belgian side STVV instead, as he will be earning regular first team football.
Per the Manchester Evening News, United did agree a fee with Urawa Red Diamonds for Suzuki's signature.
However, the ambitious keeper decided that he did not want to play a backup role.
Suzuki would have been behind summer signing Andre Onana in the pecking order at United.
He will now continue his development at STVV, while United will likely retain Tom Heaton as a backup.
