The former Sevilla supremo was seen at the Barcelona vs. Valencia game on Monday.

The Catalan club won the game 4-2 with Valencia going down a man after goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili was sent off.

Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo reported that Monchi was not at the venue for business reasons.

There have been suggestions that he may be discussing Barca defender Jules Kounde.

The Frenchman has emerged as a serious option for Aston Villa, as he wants to leave Barca to play more often as a center half.
