West Ham midfielder Edson Alvarez has recalled missing a move to Borussia Dortmund.

The Mexico international only joined West Ham from Ajax after seeing a move to BVB fall through.

"Everything was sorted out, the salary, they had got me a house, even looked after schools for my children," he told TV-Laint.

But the transfer fell through out of nowhere.

"That's how things are in life sometimes. But I still don't understand it to this day," Alvarez added.
